Hi Math is Everywhere Readers,
For my nonfiction picture book read of March, it of course had to have a spring theme.
Bloom Boom! by April Pulley Sayre encompasses the magic of spring. Utilizing gorgeous real-life images of blossoming fields, beautiful creatures, and intricate sprouts, this book pulls any reader in, and the perfectly chosen rhyming words with a fantastic refrain, “bloom boom,” truly captures that feeling of springtime.
This is the type of picture book that you will want to read again and again.
I hope this inspires you all to get writing your Spring Fling Kidlit Contest entries. It is sure feeling like spring already here in the Central Valley of CA, and I cannot wait to read all of your creative entries and see those super awesome GIFs, especially from you amazing author-illustrators who are creating your own! Haven’t heard about the Spring Fling Kidlit Contest? Check it out here!
Thanks for reading, and I hope you get your hands on this wonderful book!
Sincerely,
Kaitlyn Leann
This does look like a beauty, Kaitlyn 😀 And I’m becoming more aware of all these challenges and contests because of YOU! lol I’ve never been drawn to them ’cause I don’t want to add deadlines to my already full “to do” list, BUT–sometimes I DO find myself participating because I can’t resist lol I even tried the #Inktober one last year! And you know I did your KidLit Frenzy 🙂 OK…more “catching up” on blog posts!…

It sure is. I hope you get your hands on a copy; I had to re-read it so many times because it was so wonderful. And yay! Contests can be so wonderful and such a great way to connect to other writers, so happy to share them with you, my friend
