All of it! And I’m awful and often add pasta and/or crackers–EEK! No sour cream for me, though. Gotta draw the line somewhere–ha!

Very excited. I love my new story. Even if it’s not a “winner,” Fall Frenzy is a great way to get the creative juices flowing.

It always amazes me that I look at all of the possible choices to write about in #FallWritingFrenzy as well as #SpringFling, then suddenly one will pop out and you are writing! Thanks so much for this opportunity!
Actually Spring and Summer are my favorite seasons, however, there are so many beautiful things that occur in Fall too…Colorful leaves, crispy apples, the first fire in the fireplace, walking our dog through the fallen leaves..That’s Hank’s favorite fall thing!! 🙂

I love autumnal colors and cooler temps. Baking pumpkin chocolate chip muffins. And, of course – Halloween candy followed by Thanksgiving dinner. (Remember: Life is uncertain, so eat dessert first!)

Fall is my favorite. It is like a sigh of relief from the summer heat. I love the smell of the leaves and the contrast of the sun’s warmth to the chill in the air. Who doesn’t love sweater weather!? LOL
The Frenzy took me to two new places–new style of poetry and a Halloween theme!
Happy Fall! 🙂

I love everything about fall! The changing of the leaves, the crisp air, the pumpkins and mums we use to spice up our homes, but the thing I love most is watching my girls jump through a piles of leaves.

I’m excited to be a participant! Fall colors, the vivid orange, fiery reds and bright yellows leaves, pumpkins with crooked smiles, the smell of pumpkin pie baking in the oven, gooey caramel apples, roasting hotdogs and marshmallows on an outdoor fire, the brisk air – these are some of my favorite Fall sights, smells and tastes.

I’m excited to be part of Fall Frenzy again this year! So much fun in the fall, but my favorite part is probably picking pumpkins with my family and then making jack-o’-lanterns on the night before Halloween. Looking forward to reading all the FF stories!

I live in the San Joaquin Valley and the corn is high and the pumpkins are ripe for picking! Those crunchy leaves are falling and I’m so excited to be a part of #FallWritingFrenzy! I’m already seeing the Halloween pumpkins with all the fall trimmings. I thank y’all for everything you do for the kid lit community!

I’m excited to be participating in the Fall Frenzy and want to thank you and Lydia for hosting this great opportunity to be creative. Living in Ohio, Fall has always signified so much for me. I love the weather getting cooler and the extra layers of warmth I get to wear. It brings football games, togetherness, and an amazing display of colors.

(It’s a good problem to have!) 😉

Becca Blumenthal touched up the zombie-esque make-up. Stepping back from the mirror to admire her handiwork she frowned. “Not perfect, but it’ll do.”
“Becca!” her mom shouted. “Cassie’s here.”
That pronouncement was followed by heavily booted clomping. Seconds later Cassie flew into the room. Cassie grabbed Becca in a hug so tight Becca was sure all her insides were screaming in protest.
“What’s got you so excited?”
“HE’ll be at the costume party. Rumor mill confirmed it.” 16 year old Cassie in full zombie glory, collapsed on Becca’s bed in a melodramatic swoon.
The “he” Cassie referred to was named Alexander Winthrop, the school’s snarkiest jock and Cassie’s currently, she thought, unattainable crush.
Becca glanced behind Cassie as a crow landed on the windowsill. Above the bird a thumbnail moon was piercing the sky, splintering the clouds into shadows resembling a face. Becca reached over to close the window. The crow’s dark eyes gleamed in the dim light. Biting her, he drew blood. Drinking his fill of the offering he Cawed his thanks as he flew away.
Debt paid.
Curse unbroken.
Wish fulfilled.
The things we do for love Becca thought linking arms with Cassie on their way out.

Fall is my favorite time of year! Today I saw sunlight touch the yellow leaves leaving a warm glow that was breathtaking. So I took a picture to capture the moment. I hope we have many more days like today.
