Hi everyone! I hope you’re doing well!

Thank you so much again for all of your overwhelming support of my blog hiatus for work-life balance! My family and I have had a great year filled with camping – we’ve been loving connecting with the outdoors! And, the Fall Writing Frenzy is coming this October! Right here on this blog this year. Our wonderful co-host, Lydia Lukidis, unfortunately, will have to take a break this year, so we all get to come back to my blog for all the fun of the Fall Writing Frenzy Contest. If you haven’t heard of the Fall Writing Frenzy Contest, it’s a FREE yearly contest that allows all kidlit writers (board book, picture book, chapter book, middle grade, and young adult) to write a new story, connect, and get the chance to win some PHENOMENAL prizes!     So great to hear from you, and you have been top of mind because I just listened to a Renee LaTulippe YouTube where she reviewed a fabulous excerpt of yours.

    I will definitely participate in #2 – I love the creative thinking that comes with constraint, and it feels so collaborative. #1 sounds great but a little pricey for me right now.

    So glad you have been camping – three cheers for connecting with nature!

I have some fantastic editorial work and picture book projects happening this Fall, so I will probably sit out this year’s Fall Writing Frenzy; however, I can’t wait to read all the entries and support everyone! I’ve been waiting for all the details to come out so I can share them with blog readers in my next Fall newsletter!

  7. Work-life balance is so important. I’m glad your family has been able to get out and connect with nature!

    I’m looking forward to participating again in this year’s Fall Writing Frenzy. I already have my photo chosen (#7 by Jonas Mohamadi) and story written. Can’t wait for entries to open!
