Kidlit Zombie Week 2025?

Hi friends,

I hope you’re doing well. I have a question for you: are you interested in doing #kidlitzombieweek, where we have a week of blog posts, pitches, and prizes for #kidlit creators?

If you do want #kidlitzombieweek to happen, please let me know in the comments if you’re willing to help organize, write blog posts, donate prizes, or recommend people you’d like to see as part of the organization, blog posts, or prize donations as unfortunately, my wonderful critique group isn’t able to run the contest this year. I can still be in charge, but I can’t do it alone.

Looking forward to hearing from you and wishing you a lovely rest of your week.

Sincerely,

Kaitlyn Sanchez

  2. Kaitlyn,

Hello! I would love to help make Zombie Week happen! It was so supportive to me last year when I participated! I am happy to help organize, write blog posts, and/or donate a prize (a critique/AMA). Don’t hesitate to reach out (you have my email) 🙂

    1. This is awesome! Thanks so much! I’m sending out an email now to people willing to help organize with the title KZW. It’s pretty bland as I’m trying to avoid it going to spam, but please check your spam too LOL

  3. I’m happy to donate a PB critique! I’m also willing to write a blog post, but I don’t have an example of the traditional zombie success. Mine comes from picking up older stories to make into movies, so I’m not sure if that’s helpful to participants or not.

  4. Hi Kaitlyn, I’d be happy to donate a prize if you’re open to a self-publishing author giving one 🙂 I could offer a PB manuscript critique, a 30-min AMA, or a copy of my upcoming board book, BANANAS IN THE BATH. I’d also be interested in doing a blog post, but again I’m self-published so no worries if you’d prefer to keep the posts to the traditionally published authors!

  8. I could probably write a blog post, and I’m sure I could have one of my houses donate a copy of a book! How long would the blog post have to be? And when would it be due?
